Kids and Company of Linn County (Kidco Head Start/Early Head Start) provides a comprehensive preschool program in Linn and Benton counties for children from low-income families and children with special needs. Kidco Head Start is now accepting applications for the following position in Sweet Home
WAGE: $10.25 per hour/ (6% increase for bilingual Spanish/English) classified non-exempt
HOURS: 32.5 hours per week, August – early June, annually

Experience working with 0 - 3 year old children, experience in a preschool or in structured child care setting preferred.
Sensitivity to individual and group needs of adults and children in target area.
Willingness to participate in on-the-job training.
Communications and problem solving skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, staff, and public.
Must be enrolled in the Child Care Division’s Central Background Registry
Must obtain an Employee Health Appraisal (which includes TB screening)
Current First Aid/CPR and Food Handlers cards within 30 days of hire
Spanish/English fluency desired
Valid Oregon driver’s license and available transportation; must meet agency insurability criteria for driving program vehicles.
Classroom support working with infants and toddlers: Apply experience in child development and work in cooperation with teaching staff to promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of participants in Head Start program, gathering and preparing of materials for classroom use, working with individual or small groups of children providing active supervision for small group activities, and providing assistance in maintaining a developmentally appropriate and safe environment.
Center Support: Responsible for performing all duties as prioritized by supervisor for the efficient operation of the center, to include center wide cleaning tasks and classroom support. Support an atmosphere in the center that promotes and reinforces parental involvement at all levels.
Additional Job Responsibilities: Be a contributory team member; adhering to company code of conduct and confidentiality policies and demonstrate commitment to company mission, values, and policies in performance of daily duties.
