Enrollment is based on criteria such as income, disabilities, family needs, employment and education.
Children must be four or three years old on or before September 1 depending upon the center. Proof of age is required.

Your child will qualify if your income is within the Federal Poverty Guidelines. In addition, some children may be accepted from families whose income is over the Federal Poverty Guidelines, if they have special needs.
Children with disabilities or from families with special or difficult circumstances are considered even though their income is not within the Poverty Guidelines.

- Center-Based (All centers): 4 days per week (Tuesday-Friday) for 3 ½ hours, 5 home visits per year and one school conference.
- Center-Based (Riverside center Full Day/Full Year class): 5 days per week (Monday-Friday), 10 hours maximum per day, 2 home visits per year and one school conference. To qualify for this classroom parents must be (1) working full time during the weekdays (30 hours or more) and receiving ERDC if possible, (2) be participating in the JOBS program or (3) attending school full-time. Families who qualify and are accepted may be living anywhere within the program boundaries. Head Start does not provide transportation for this classroom.
- Combination (Lebanon & Sweet Home/Sunnyside 3-year-old class): 3 days per week (Tuesday through Thursday) for 3 1/2 hours, 12 education home visits per year.

In each of the 3 communities with Early Head Start programs, a home visit program is available for 9-10 pregnant women or families with infants and/or toddlers. Income level and/or special needs determine eligibility. Socilization group activites are offered 2 times per month.
- Sweet Home Teen Parent Program: 8 Sweet Home High School students with infants/toddlers are eligible for our center-based program, which provides care from 7:30-3:30 on school days. During the summer, enrolled families receive home visits and participate in socialization group activities. Teen parents attending GED classes may also be eligible.
- Albany Program: 8 LBCC students with infants/toddlers are eligible for our center-based program which provides care from 7:45-5:15 throughout school terms. During LBCC breaks and summer, enrolled families receive home visits and participate in socilization group activities.
- Corvallis Program: 8 Corvallis-area families with infants/toddlers whose parents need preparation for employment and self-sufficiency are eligible for this program. Families attend socilization groups/adult education opportunities 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a day, Tuesday - Thursday, and receive two home visits a month.
